Gender neutral stuff only

Is it a better idea to have a gender neutral theme that way we can reuse everything for baby #2?

I'm trying to do gender neutral for the bigger items (furniture, stroller, swing, etc), but got crib sheets and a skirt that have some pink. My thinking was that people would give us pink stuff anyway so I might as well include some so items that we got as gifts "go", but it's we are definitely leaning towards aqua, green, and yellow.

I'm not speaking from experience, as this is my first, but I plan on going gender neutral for most of the big items (stroller, carseat,crib, etc.), but not for bedding.  I'm actually sewing all of the bedding and hope to do so for all of our kids.  What I'm making isn't super girly, I just think I'll be ready to change up the bedding/decor when the next one comes along.  And it's not a super expensive change either.

We tried to be as neutral as possible when it came to the stroller, playpen etc. but with our LO's rooms ... there is certainly no gender neutrality.  We're going all out and making it as girly as we can ... and if the ultrasound was wrong we're in for some big trouble. LOL .

I agree with pp. We were planning to decorate the room according to the gender. However the larger pieces would be gender neutral.... furniture, stroller, highchair, packNplay, even the bumba chair... but the room will definately be PINK or BLUE

We are doing neutral all the way..  I've decided to go with white/chocolate furniture and the bedding is green and white so we're going to paint the room green & I'm accenting it with orange. Kinda like apples oranges!!

I'm leaving space in the room for the gender items... maybe leave the lamp shade to be either blue or pink.  I'll get a fluffy rug in either blue or pink and odds and ends to sway the room specifically once LO gets here.. but ideally, we hope not to have so many issues next time around & reuse all the necessaries we've got for this LO.

Everything that we have bought so far or registered for is gender neutral (bedding, stroller, swing, bumbo, etc).  We did not find out the sex for this baby, but to keep my husband happy will find out for the second.  Either way...we are reusing everything!

Thats what we did. The bedding set was from the Gap with green and yellow, and we did all the accent colors in the room a sage green. The changing pad cover and hamper. And the bookcase is a sage green we found it at Target. For now the bins are a bright blue but we would just change out a few things if/when we have a girl we just add a few purple or pink items and we are good to go.

I forgot. We also did a Chicco stroller and carseat in a red, the britax seats are neutral and so is our green maclaren.  I guess we thought gender netutral the entire way!!
