I had to send my sweet baby yellow lab to doggy heaven...I have half a bottle of Rimadyl left. I am willing to send it to anyone who can use it or if anyone knows a charity that will take it..It is expensive stuff.I have probably $30.00 worth left. Just let me know if you or some one you know could use it! It is 100mg..however we were cutting it in half for her so I have a couple half tablets..
Re: nttc+35r: Anybody have a dog on Rimadyl?
Oh no! Did I miss that post? Or am I again suffering from memory lapse?!
Either way, sorry to hear about your doggie. That's so sad
I haven't posted a whole lot about it..I was really pretty distraught all week..she was the sweetest dog ever. Honestly, she was so happy all day but she had lung cancer and was going down hill. I decided I didn't need to see her in distress and uncomfortable. 10 days before we put her down, she was given two weeks to live..so I did the humane thing and put her down while she was happy just having a little trouble but not miserable.. For those dog lovers, the last thing she did was lick my tears off my cheeks..It still makes me teary to think about that but she is happier now..No more pain, no more arthritis, no more diarrhea...she is happy..
I just hope someone can use the medicine..It is coming from a clean normal home...
Thanks for your kind words.
Oh I am so sorry about your sweet dog!
Did you post on the Nest Pets board? If you don't find anyone to take the meds, PM me. I am volunteering at an animal shelter and am active with poodle-mix rescues and am sure I could find someone. That is so kind of you, especially after your loss.
Thanks Franny..I posted over there..surely SOMEONE can use these meds. If not I will PM you, maybe one of the dogs at the rescue could use it...I have already called a rescue here and they won't take it. I also have 12 cans of moist food. She would only eat the moist towards the end of her life. I don't want to get my Golden Retriever started on it. I want her to stick with the dry stuff..The Rescue here won't even take the cans of food. Which is weird to me but they only want science diet. I understand that is a great dog food but.. the SPCA won't take the meds or the food either...
hopefully someone on the boards will want it. I also posted on the Cincinnati Nest Board..I will ship it at my expense..here's hoping!!
I am so sorry about the loss of your beloved dog. It's very tough to make that decision. We've had to do it too. At the same time, it's a wonderful thing to know you were there to end her pain and discomfort and put her at peace.
(((hugs))
Baze - I'm so sorry to hear about your fur-baby.
