My u/s Friday :)

Our U/S on Friday went really well. Baby looks great... well, from what we could tell. We didn't even get a glimpse of a face. He/she is head down - face down, with their butt straight up in the air! If you can imagine what an Olympic Diver looks like doing a half pike - legs stretched out, bent at the waist. Yeah, sounds uncomfortable, doesn't it? For me too. No wonder I am feeling all kinds of movement low! Everything is low except the dairy-aire. That is up by my belly button. And speaking of the hiney... I *think* I might know the sex now. I'm not sure though. I'm actually trying to convince myself that I didn't see what I think I saw

Anyway, about the bed rest... I am NOT on bed rest. Doesn't it feel like I am a ping pong ball lately? Well, here is the reason my Peri thinks I do great with the rest of the pregnancy... He feels like my contractions were because of a growth spurt known to happen around 26-28 weeks of the placenta. That growth spurt combined with my fibroids *probably* caused them. Since I had NO DIALATION, he has no worry about any pre-term labor. We discussed all the aspects of what went on with me and DH and I asked questions. He just put my mind at ease about it. Now, that's not to say that I am back to work full time. I'm still not even carrying my laundry downstairs. I am being smart about this and I will take it easy a lot more that a normal pregnant woman usually gets to.

More than that, we also got excellent news at the U/S that I wasn't expecting. My fibroids are shrinking!!! My biggie was 13cm, now it's 7cm. That's the only one I remember the size. ALL OF THEM were measuring smaller. I will see the report in two weeks at my regular appointment.
