Final two names: Quentin vs Canaan

What do you think about the following 2 names. These aren't my number one choice but they're the only two my husband and I agree on. I know that these def. aren't going to be most people style but what are your honest opinions?

Quentin nn would be Quin

Canaan nn probably would be Cane (I know Cain has neg. biblical connotations)

I have a 16 year old daughter named Canaan MacKenzie, and I have also met just 2 other Canaan's and they were both girls. Just saying...

I love Quentin, Quin.

But obviously I like Canaan as well, her nick name is Naaner tator.... stupid but it's who we are!

Love Canaan. And I consider it a boy's name as I have never met any female Canaans. I like Quentin, too, but prefer it spelled Quenton.

The two spellings (although technically they are different names) are Quinton and Quentin. Not QUENTON.

Anyway, I love Quentin. It was a finalist for DS#2.

Canaan, unless you are super religious, just doesn't work for me, plus it sounds like a girl. Yes, a guy on Amazing Race has the name right now, and he's not exactly making the name more attractive (comes across pretty dumb).

Quentin is in our top 3 so I'm biased. But I don't like Canaan.

Not sure I know how to pronounce it and I would only guess at spelling it, if I heard it.

I like both, too. I've heard Canaan pronounced Kay-nan and Can-nan, so I'm just wondering how you will  pronounce it...but I def like both!
