Got a "sorry we missed you" from USPS when I was home!

On Wednesday, it was pouring the rain and about 40 degrees. I was expecting Maile's cake topper than day. I was in the kitchen cooking lunch (it faces the street). I saw the mailwoman drive up. I watched to see if my package was in there, because I didn't feel like going to the mailbox if it wasn't. So, it wasn't in there. Thursday morning, after we got home from their homeschool group, I grabbed the mail.

In there was a "sorry we missed you. Come get your package from the post office" card. Dated from the 14th. So I got to go pick it up today. I'm annoyed because she is so lazy. On days where we have playgroup at my house, if there are cars in front of my house, she won't maneuver her mailtruck around them to deliver my mail. 

I made a complaint when I picked up my package, and they didn't act shocked at all.

Ha! I think a lot of mail carriers must suck. The one at my parent's house leaves nasty notes if the trash cans are too close to the mailbox (which is because the garbage men leave them there!)

I remember one time I was waiting for a prescription to be delivered. I sat in my mud room and waited for him (b/c I am annoying like that). He put the "Sorry we missed you !" notice, and didn't even have the package in his bag! Guess he didn't feel like carrying it.

All he gave me a was a 'sorry'

I am pretty sure they are asshats everywhere. I can't tell you how annoyed I am with them. I have issues with them at least once a week.

I have had to require insurance on packages because they have literally lost packages or their 2-3 day priority mail take 7-10 business days. ifuckinghatethem.

The town that I live in is weird...we don't have a post office....so half of our town has the zip code for one of the neighboring towns and the other half of the town has the zip code of a different one. Well when we bought our house all the paperwork  had the address with the zip code for the other town when we really had the zip code for the different one. We did not know this when we changed our address and once we figured it out we immediately went to the post office and changed it again. Well a few weeks into it and there was a nasty note in our mailbox that our mail carrier would stop delivering our mail if we didn't give people our correct zip code. I was pissed... so I wrote a note back explaining the situation and everything... some mail people are just stupid... I will say though that for the past 2 years we have had a new mail lady and I love her.

Aw...they're not all bad!  Ex-DH  is a carrier and his people seem to love him.  He would bring home nearly a grand at Christmas every year in cash gifts from people on his route!  Miss that for Christmas money now...lol
