could you kindly show me your nursery and how you utilized your space effectively.
Any tips? tricks? hints? sites? Even if it's not your own nursery, and you have a site to direct me to, I need all the ideas I can get!
I feel like we are bursting at the seams.
Thanks!
Re: * * for those with a SMALL Home . . . * *
I did the following:
1. Bought a hanging closet organizer from BRU. It has room to still hang your stuff on the rod, but 6 "shelves" I am hanging a ton of stuff in/on that.
2. I used an already existing piece as a dresser (it is called a butler desk, not really a dresser) but I bought rubbermaid containers to go in it to divide up the clothes. You can do this too in a reg dresser to dived up clothing.
3. Storage under the crib- I bought containers for under the crib too to put in "non frequent" used items... blankets sheets... etc
4. Hope chest changing table- I used my grandma's hope chest as a changing table and eventually baby will use it as a toy chest.

we built a changing table that fits directly onto our crib. We're using our nursery as a spare room too and will be utilizing the space under the bed for additional storage. We're also using very little furniture in our nursery, crib, bed and glider is it. All storage will be in the closet so that it looks cleaner and neater. Besides we'll need floor space for all of the baby stuff that is still to go in the room.
I'm in the same boat, we'll be in a small apartment for another year...We are converting our office/guest room into a nursery/office/guest room...yikes!
We put the desk next to the bed so the desk-lamp can serve as a bed-side lamp as well, and eliminates the need for a bed-side table. Our crib is too low for under-storage (oops, wasn't thinking), but we bought a pretty big dresser (Wall-Mart Baby Mod Olivia) that has tons of room for storage and will be our changing table, too. Also, we are buying plastic storage bins for under the guest bed. I would get some shelving for the walls if they weren't made of plaster, yuk.
I was hoping we would have room for a bookshelf, but no such luck. All books/toys will be stored in our dining room, which is being converted to a family room / toy room. We're storing all the dining room furniture until we can get a house. I mean, how many dinner parties are we going to have the first year of LO's life, anyway?
Good luck to you!
