How do I start a BLOG?

I want to do one for our family since we have so many out of town relatives.  Is there a website or something that will do it?  Anything else I should know?  Thanks!

    I am new to this but I did ours through blogger.com and I got one of the free backgrounds and banners from thecutestblogontheblock.  I have to say that I am not a huge computer person but I managed to figure it out and set it up nice. Good luck!
