What? I didn't watch the Wife Swap episode, but they look like a perfectly ncie family and the dad seems to have a job doing a lot of meteorology and science stuff, storm research, etc.

Lots of people have careers where they are not away from home all the time and can have hobbies.  I have a friend who makes movies and works at a giant haunted house, but he also has 3 kids under 5 and a real job, he just has a lot of energy. 

I feel terrible for these people, and I think a lot of the responses people have posted about this are stupid.  This kid was 6, not 3, so you would not watch them every second of every minute, the balloon was designed to carry equipment, not people, and if would not be expected to support that much weight.  I think people judge "differences" pretty harshly.
