Need tips for diaper rash please

Abby has her first diaper rash:(  At least I think it is a rash.  Sorry if this is TMI, but it is a consistent pink/red in between the folds all the way down to her bottom.  It is not speckled, just solid pink/red.  Does this sound like a rash?  What are your tips?  I've switched to sposies and applied A&D, using washcloths to clean the area, and allowed some naked time.  Any other thoughts or tips would be appreciated!  TIA

How long has she had it?

That's the sort of rash DD gets.  We make sure it's very clean - give her a bath, ensure it's fully rinsed and dry, give her naked time, keep her in fitteds with fleece liners for stay dry and wool covers so she can breathe, add a bit of diaper cream (we use Method) and it's usually gone w/i 24 hours.

When we had one that lasted longer it was back at the beginning and come to find out DH was scared of DD's girly bits and wasn't spreading things to make sure everything was clean, if you catch my drift.  A good bath with Mommy who wasn't scared and Daddy watching how to do it took care of it.
