Intro/ovidrel and ovulation question

Hi!  I posted here once before, but never introduced myself.  My name is Lani and my H and I are TTC #1.  It's only been 8 cycles and the SA, bloodwork and HSG were all normal, but I have a luteal phase defect, heavy spotting 5-6 days before AF and a very thin lining.  I did 2 cycles of clomid with my OBGYN before seeing an RE.  She switched me to femara, ovidrel and progesterone.  My lining was still really thin (4 mm) at my mid-month appointment yesterday, but I had 2 good size follicles so they told me to do the ovidrel shot tonight.

My question is when I put in FF that I had HCG meds today, it said to put in an override for my ovulation date based on what my healthcare provider told me.  I read online that ovulation is usually about 36 hours after the shot.  Will my temps still show ovulation?  I read yesterday that if you're on so much medication it's probably better to toss the BBT because the meds will mess with the temps...is charting a waste of time now?  Thanks!

  • Yes, charting is essentially a waste of time.

    Good luck.

Ditto. The meds will throw your temps off. You will be essentially controlling your ovulation now with the trigger.   Good Luck to you!
