What do they normally do at your appointments?

BP, urine, weight, doppler and cervix checks?

This is my schedule:

Cervix, fluid, heart beat check via u/s every week.  (My Peri has never once used the doppler on me.)

Then every other week it's a growth u/s with the items above.

BP, urine, weight once a month.

I didn't start going weekly until 32 weeks. Starting then, they did urine, weight, BP, and then did either a BPP (biophysical profile) or a NST (non-stress test). The last cervical length check was around 30 weeks. Now I go twice a week and get BPPs. Growth u/s are typically every 4 wks still unless they need to re-do one (in my case) and I had one every 2 wks.

We started going once a week at week 30.  We did BP, weight, urine, and u/s to check h/b,  At 32 weeks they added NST.  We had a cervix check once, but he doesn't plan to do it again until week 36 or if I feel pressure.

BP, urine, weight and abdominal u/s (growth scan every two weeks, biophysical profile every week). They stop doing transvaginal u/s after about 31 weeks b/c after that point the cervix measurement is less important. I only had a few internal exams during weekly visits. I switched OBs and the one I switched to acknowledged that they sometimes cause more trouble than they're worth (e.g. risk of introducing infection and yet not much you can do with information from them at that point) so he only did them if the patient requested one.
