My DH and I are expecting baby #2 in
Feb. We're having a girl and we cannot agree on a name for her. He is
set on Bailey and I'm having a hard time getting him to budge. I like
Bailey, but I don't love it. I wanted her to have a really girlie name
since our son's name is Brock and its such a strong name.
Any suggestions for cute girlie names that would go with Bailey?
Oh, our last name rhymes with Rose, so I don't want to use Rose as a middle name :-)
My favorite name is Layla, but he says he can't get the song out of his head when he hears that name.
Thanks!
Re: Middle name suggestions for Bailey...
I like Bailey Violet - very flower/girly
I'm with him on Layla... but you could mention how you can't get Bailey's Irish Cream out of your head if you aren't sold on the name.
as for middle names, what about the old standby of Marie?
Rae, Lane, Louise, Michelle, Noel
My friends choc lab is named Bailey (girl)
I know it's a popular girl's name now, but I still think of Bailey from Party of Five when I hear the name. He's a boy.
(And I just dated myself since most of you probably never watched the show)?
Bailey Corrine
I loved Party of Five.
You still have some time to talk DH out of Bailey if you aren't set on it.
Bailey Faith
Bailey Rayne (had DS been a girl this would have been the name. it's a little weird, but there's a whole story behind it.)
Bailey Laura
Bailey Grace
Bailey Pearl
Worked for us!
But for some reason, the first thing that came to my mind was Michelle. Yes, it will remind one of the Beatles song, but you really don't hear it much these days. Nicole? (Can you tell I like French names)?
ETA: Just had another thought...Collette? (very girly...and very French
)
Thank you guys so much for ALL of the suggestions! Very beautiful name choices :-)
Blondie: Thank you! And YES get to reading ;-) LOL!
MrsState: LMAO!
I first thought Party of Five as soon as DH spit the name out! Then I thought it sounded like a dogs name. I dunno.
I just want to have her name already so I can call her by her name :-)
Thanks again ladies! You really helped out a lot!
