DH decided he doesn't want to share names IRL, so I can't discuss them with anyone (which might be a good thing...), but I want to kinda run them by someone...
Girl name we are pretty much set on:
Allison Iola Sh____er.
Iola is my great grandma's middle name, and I'm thinking of the nn Allie.
Boy, we are not as confident about:
Kyle Fredrich.
Fredrich is MIL's maiden name. I really like the name, just not as excited about it as the girl's.
Jack David (David is DH's mn and his gpa's name) was our top runner, but DH's cousin just named his baby Jackson David. So that one's out for now.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas for boy's name following the similar styles? TIA!
Re: Just running our names by you...
I love allison, but I may be biased since that's my name! I've always loved my name growing up, although I go by the nick name Alice.
And I like Kyle Fredrich. Just be careful with Kyle. I only say this because I have known three Kyle's and they always seemed to be called Kyle Kyle. It drives me crazy!
To the OP, I'm friends with a Kyle and no one has ever called him this...
I like Allison and Lola together are too much. They sound very similar.
I like Kyle Frederick, but not Jack David.
I think that if you like the name Jackson David I would use it. It is only your husbands cousin so basically the child's 3rd cousin.
It would be different if his brother or sister just named their child that
I love your girl's name. I think that Kyle Frederich is nice, and that David Frederich would also be nice.
I thought that looked like Lola when I typed it; capital I and lowercase l...
allison iola...do you think that sounds better? Still similar, but one fewer L.
Thanks for your input! Always interesting to hear what others think:)
Oh, and I looked up iola, since I really don't hear it much (it's actually a city in my state...) and it means "Violet"... I like it more now, hehe
