I voted a 5 because I would be much happier if I could get pregnant and give dd a sibling. I am a bit depressed over that right now. Otherwise, my life really is good. I have a great, supportive husband and family and a beautiful, intelligent, fun dd. I also have a good job and am blessed that I only work 2 days a week because my husband can provide for us. If ttc wasn't a factor I would say I am a 9.
Right now, I'm pretty low on the scale with everything that has gone on. Generally, though, I'm more like a 7 or 8, depending on the day. My life isn't perfect, but I have a lot to be thankful for and smile about.

Hugs to you. I think it can vary quite a bit when you're going through challenging times for sure.
I read recently that happiness peaks when you are married before you have kids (this is obviously speaking in very general terms) & doesn't return until after your kids leave the house. I thought it was kind of fascinating. I'm tired every day, but so grateful for our family & our health, etc.

Your DD is beautiful! And, crossing my fingers for you on the TTC front.

I'm saying 7 only because I want/need a new house. Which we could get if I could just motivate to put our current one on the market & keep it clean enough to show...I think we'll try in the Spring since I am not there yet. And my parents & older brother stress me out w/ their drama. But otherwise I am happy w/ my 3 little princesses, good DH & as a SAHM. Generally I feel very lucky/blessed.

I'll have to see if I can dig out the study.
