Pregnant after 35

When did you start to feel movement?

My placenta is anterior and I haven't felt anything, I think, first time mom to be. What type of movements did you feel and how frequently?

Re: When did you start to feel movement?

  • I think it was about 18-19 weeks. It was sporadic though. I didn't feel anything consistent until around 23 weeks.

  • Mine was at 20w3days.  I only remember so clearly bc it was the day after my wedding.  I think baby was trying to hide out until then because I popped that next day too!  lol

  • I think the first time was last week, but it is my fourth and they say you feel it earlier with each baby!
  • I have an anterior placenta also (or I did) and it wasn't until the 22nd week that I started feeling movement.

Felt like FOREVER! And now, I live with her head jammed up to my ribs and her feet kicking my bladder/organs. You'll get there!

  • I had anterior placenta with Benjamin, and it was easily 22-24 weeks before I felt him unmistakably. Then KABOOM. None of those "gas bubbles" other people describe. It was all or none with him.

I haven't felt this baby yet.

  • Thank you all so much, I need some reassurance.
  • I thought I felt some flutters a couple of days ago.  I am a bit on the fluffy side so it just could have been gas as well.
