NOT happy with the custodian who does my room @ school!

In the past two weeks I've had 5 kids out with the flu: Swine or regular we don't know because they have stopped testing around here apparently but they have had fevers up to 103 and 104!!!  This whole time I have known that my room should be disinfected every night.  Tables and desks should be sprayed and wiped down.  Well, I asked the custodian who does my room last night and she said that she has only been doing it once a week.  WHAT???  I feel guilty about doing it becasuse I don't want to get her into trouble but I did "tell on her" to the head custodian this morning. I'm sorry, I just don't want to get sick you know?  He agreed with me and said that he'd get he problem fixed. I hope so!!!!

Do NOT feel bad!  You are absolutely right that your room should be disinfected every night when you've have students with such high fevers!  Hopefully you don't get sick, and hopefully that custodian starts doing her job more thoroughly.

don't feel bad at all! I would definitely bring your own clorox wipes with you now to disinfect any surface you touch a lot that kids might touch.

Ditto, don't feel bad, that is the procedure they are suppose to follow!!!!  I would also be cleaning myself as well the "high touch areas" and your desk etc!  Good luck!!!

Our school custodians do n.o.t.h.i.n.g........you're lucky they even say the word "disinfect." Our district has said nothing about this and the custodians only empty the garbage cans, wipe down the whiteboards (maybe 1-2 times per week if I'm lucky....) and *sometimes* vacuum.......
