Oh my gosh! What a knot! Poor thing! I might call her dentist just to make sure. They may want to look at it to make sure it's not chipped down too far. If too much enamel is missing tooth decay can set in quicker so I would call them just to check.
Ouch! That looks painful. If it is a front tooth she will lose in the next couple of years, I would not worry much about it, but if it is one of the ones that she will have until 8 or 10, the dentist can fix it easily, which will both prevent her from looking "bad" which can effect self image and keep her teeth healthy.
Is it a large chip or really tiny? Is it sharp to her tongue? I wouldn't worry if its a tiny chip, but if its large and/or feels sharp to her tongue, it wouldn't hurt to call and see what they say.
The most they would do for a really tiny chip is smooth it if it was at all sharp to her. Even if it is a little sharp and she doesn't tell you, it will smooth itself out over time
