DS has H1N1

It all started last night about 8pm. My lil guy (4yo) had a low grade feverl about 8pm when we put him to bed. Within 3hrs it was up to 103 and the coughing started....

Spent 1/2 the day in the ER. He has had the seasonal influenza vaccine (about a month ago) and tested positive for influenza A (which isn't due to hit into Jan/Feb) which leads the hospital staff to believe this is definitely H1N1.

Being asthmatic, we were especially worried but, hoping he'll quickly recover. He's on steriods, albuterol, flovent and Tamiflu.

    Awww..poor baby.  I see you are pregnant, did you get the H1N1 vax?  Just be careful!  I suppose if you were exposed you'd know by now.  Hopefully he (as many others have) will have a speedy recovery.  Sounds like you caught it early enough and are doing all the right things.

    Oh no, kd!   Confine him to his room ASAP!   Hope you all get through this relatively unscathed.

    FWIW, one of my neighbor boys has confirmed H1N1, too.  From what I understand, tho, the contageous period is fairly short.  Let's hope the rest of your family didn't pick up the bug... especially you.
