I am getting a Christmas dress for DD from them, and I'm not sure which size to order. DD is right between the 100 and 110. She's about 41" tall, and weighs about 39 lbs. The sizes for 100 are 38 to 42 inches and the 110 is 42 to 46 inches, but she's in the weight range for the 110 (38-46 lbs). I know they stress to stick with the height to make the right decision, but I'm still torn. I'm leaning toward the 110, because I don't want it to be too short on her. But I also don't want it to hang off of her, you know? Any advice? Thanks!
Re: Hanna Andersson sizing Q
If you want length, go for the 110.
I'm not a usual HA shopper but DD got a set for her birthday and her aunt also gave us a HannaPass to use so we went there.
DD's stats are 41 pounds and 42" tall, so right about your DD's size. In the outfit DD's aunt got her, the shirt, pants, and top were all 110s. The shirt and pants were fine fitting (a LITTLE loose in the waist), but this jumper was LONG on her (past her knees). When we went to the store to exchange it for a 100 the difference between the two was HUGE and even the sales associate noted that.
We also wound up buying DD a playdress/daydress and the matching leggings and we got both pieces in a 110 and the dress is the right length (just at the knee).
So I guess what I'm trying to say is length varies, so I'd stick with the 110 for safety sake. With the jumper I linked to, even though it was LONG, it fit her pretty well around.
Hope that helps!
I agree with this, especially for dresses. We were in the same boat with DD for last year and I ordered the smaller size and it was perfect.
DD #2 - 03.13
I would say ditto.
My kids are long and broad/thick. Both kids are inbetween and we go with the smaller. Hands down smaller in the bottoms.
