Dollar tree tests?

I have seen the dollar tree tests but am a little skeptical. Can anyone confirm if there are worth the whole whopping $1 or should I just stick with ept? Thanks

Re: Dollar tree tests?

  • they work as far as i know.

  • The dollar tree tests are pretty accurate.  The advice that I got was.  If you get a positve with one of those, go out and buy a good one to confirm the positive.

  • yes, they work and are more sensitive than most expensive tests. A lot of dr. offices carry the $tree brand.
  • I bought Dollar Tree tests everytime. I am on pregnancy #3.

All my friends have used them as well.

  • I bought 2 tests from the dollar store, one no name brand test and a digital.  They all said positive just the same!  If I had been able to find the dollar store tests earlier, I wouldn't have wasted all that money on the expensive drug store tests!
  • They work great! This website shows they are just as sensitive as other pregnancy tests.

  • I got my BFP with one...2 days before missed AF.  I bought around 7 or 8 and I have one left.  It was great being able to test as much as I wanted and knowing it only cost me a $1 each time!

  • Thats the one i tested on and...i am still pregnant so it was obviously right.
  • I used $1 tests from https://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com and the one I used worked great.  Only problem was it took 3 business days to get to me and i only got to test 1 day early instead of the 3 they advertise.  haha  If it's too late to order, I'm sure the dollar tree tests work great!

Only problem with the strips is I bought 10...lol

  • I got my BFP with Dollar tree tests at 14dpo. It was very faint though. I continued taking a few more for a few days after and the line kept getting darker. I finally finished up with a First Response and it had 2 dark lines. I say they were worth the dollar!!
  • I got my BFP on a 50 cent test.
  • They work just fine! I got my BFP with one!!!!! It's worth a try IMO!!!

  • I got my BFP using a Dollar Tree test.  Granted, it was verrry faint but it was there! :)

  • it worked for me too.

but to double check it, I also bought equate pregnancy test and the 50 cents pt

  • They are very accurate and a good way to save some $$$
  • Studies shows they are even more sensitive than several leading brands. I used them with my first three pregnancies. I would have used it this time, but I was at Target when I decided to buy a pregnancy test at 9 DPO, so I got a Clear Blue digital instead. They definitely work well! I tested early with my frst two pregnancies as well and I definitely saw a line.

  • I got my BFP on a Dollar Tree Test.  The test line was DARK pink in about 3 seconds.  I took it at 15 dpo in the middle of the day.  I confirmed with a digital.
  • That's what I used! I didn't even feel a need to go out and buy a $20 one afterwards. 4 BFPs on a dollar test, along with all the early pregnancy symptoms, is confirmation enough for me!

  • I got my BFP on a dollar tree test!
  • With both of my pregnancies, I used the $ tree tests! With DS I found out 3 days before my missed period and with this pregnancy, I found out at 2weeks and 3 days i believe! My DR was surprised that I knew so early! A positive is a positive no matter how much the test costs! lol. I'd say go for it.

  • That is what we used!  I was a little leary though, I keep thinking "But we only used the dollar tree tests".  But with the symptoms, I think it was accurate!

  • I thought they sounded like a good deal too--and a lot of the girls on here recommended them. So I stocked up on them--took one (negative) 3 days before I went to the dr to find out why I was so nauseaus and dizzy and found out I was pregnant. So....my experience is they didn't work for me :) My FI teases me that since they were from the dollar tree they were probably already used tests lol and thats why they didn't work :)

  • Yes, they do work, but the line was so so faint I was worried it was an evap line and took  FRER test as well. That was clearly positive. As was the CBE digital I took the next day. ;o) It was 4 days after expected period (turns out I ovulated late) when I got a BFP. $tree was fine for what I paid but I'm glad I had a more sensitive test on hand to back up it's results.

Ditto.  The dollar tree tests have been accurate for both of my pregnancies.

  • They are actually surprisingly sensitive!  I got my BFP on a $ Tree test at 10 DPO.

This! I had to go buy the expensive ones anyhow because the $ store ones were driving me crazy because I couldn't read the line clearly enough. If you're far enough along though they show up fine...if I would have stuck to my FRER in the beginning I probably would have found out earlier, but at least I didn't waste all that money!

  • Worked for me! I already knew I was PG but tried it out as an experiment...
