Powder formula

I am switching to powder from the premixed.  I make big batches and prepare a whole days worth of bottles.  I have been noticing that the powder is not completely dissolving and ends up clogging the nipples.  Does anybody have any tricks on how to mix it better.

do you make it in a pitcher? try whisking it to get all the clumps out. i think pampered chef makes some mixing pitcher that people rave about for mixing formula. i had a pitcher from BRU that had a screen thing at the top for getting clumps out when you shook it. it worked pretty well too.

I used the Dr. Brown's formula pitcher with Rhett. He was really gassy, so if I did too much to get it to mix then it upset his tummy. That pitcher was a lifesaver because it mixed great without making too many bubbles. They sell it at BRU.

I also whisk the formula every 5 or so scoops and that helps break it down.  Anf we also make it ahead of time so it has time to settle before it is time for their bottles.

I have a pampered chef gallon pitcher that I use.  I love it!  I also put in a few drops of gas drops to break down on the bubbles.  After I mix the fomula I put it in the fridge with the bottles are in the dishwasher then later that night or in the morning I give the pitcher a few good pumps to mix any settlements then use the strain and pour into bottles.

I use our blender and love it.  I make all the next days bottles after they go to bed for the night so there's plenty of time for it bubbles to settle out.  To think...that blender used to be used for margaritas

haha I know exactly what you mean!  it is funny how things are repurposed after kids.  I am hoping to reintroduce margaritas back into our house someday ;-)
