Pregnant after 35

Scars after a burn (not pregnancy related)

Thought you ladies might have some ideas....

I burned my cheek with a curling iron about a month ago.  It is a small circle about the size of a nickle.  It isn't  that bad of a scar, but it is noticeable if I don't have make up on it.  I have been using vitamin E but it doesn't seem to be fading it.  I have light-olive skin.  In the winter I get pretty pale.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, I'm thinking that since pregnant skin tends to get brown spots, this might be delaying the fading of this little spot.

Thanks in advance!

  • Pinky.. I got nothin', but you might find some answers by calling a beauty school or salon and see what they do for burns.   Gotta believe they deal with that fairly regularly.

  • I had open heart surgery five years ago and my scar turned out to be a dark purple raised keloid type of scar.  My surgeon gave me a prescription for Cordran lotion.  It is AMAZING!  You rub it in your scar twice a day, actually rubbing it in with a little pressure to help minimize the raised scar.  The only thing is, I don't know if you can use it pregnant.  If not, try after your pregnancy.  I have used it for older scars and it has helped as well.   It works so well, that most times people don't even notice my scar running down my chest!  GL.
