Ideas Needed: White String Lights in Nursery...

So I have white string lights on white wire leftover from Christmas that I thought I could incorporate into the baby's room somehow.

At first I thought maybe I could find a way to make a celestial ceiling somehow and incorporate them there.  No idea how or what to use.  Our colors are very neutral vintage friendly - kinda soft butter yellow w/white furniture

I'm just lost as to what to do and how to do it.

WWYD if you had white wire string lights and how would you make it work?

Anyone have any ideas/inspirations?

Thank you! Huh?

  • I'd have to see the room but I like the idea - your baby will love the lights.
  • Loading the player...
  • Hmmm....I might string them around/through a chandelier.
  • that sounds like a cute idea, but keep in mind those string lights get very hot and are cheap so they are usually the cause of holiday fires.  If you decide to use them I would really recommend not leaving them on for extended periods of time and don't leave them plugged into the wall as they still heat up just being hooked up to the outlet.  They also have mercury in the wires so keep them out of reach. Sorry to be a worrier but I would hate it if you weren't aware of these things and anything happened!
  •  I agree that those holiday lights are not always safest for leaving up permanently.  But, I once saw a cute wedding decor where the ceiling was covered in net lights and then tulle was draped underneath to give the whole ceiling a soft glow.
  • I would do something like this and put the lights up there with some of your decor. Very cute idea.
