My cousin had a baby last Monday night. Ended in an emergency c/s. The baby was face up and stuck after 2 hrs of pushing. Heart rate started dropping as they rushed her back for the c/s and by the time they got her out she had no heart rate. They revived and vented her and today they got the MRI/brain scan results back. She's pretty much completely brain dead. They said the damage is so severe she will never recover and will remain in a vegetative state.
I can't even imagine having to make that decision.

Please pray for comfort and peace for them.

Oh my god, that is just awful.  No parent should have to make those decisions.  My heart goes out to them.

How totally and completely devastating...no parent should ever have to be in such a position. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
