How far apart are your houses? 10 feet? 50? 100? Mile? I think there is about 20 feet on both sides of us. (I'm thinking about this while I watch my neighbors cook supper. Both our curtains are open! Lol)
About 15 feet? We're pretty close together. I can hear them in their kitchen at night. I kind of like it; I don't think I'd do well if I lived some place where I was far apart from neighbors--I'd feel too isolated.
I'm not sure of feet, but on one side, we have a shared driveway wide enough for 2 cars and probably close to that amount on the other side.

Gosh-I don't know...pretty close! Maybe 20-30 feet. I can definitely see into their kitchen from our bedroom!
Our neighbors across the street caddy corner have this gigantic TV and we can usually look out our LR window and see what their watching!

About 20 ft., we live in the city too. But our builder built the house on the left of us without windows on our side. My house doesn't have side windows on the right side of our house. We have plenty of windows everywhere else. This way you don't see your neighbors. I can see the neighbors on the other side of the street though. My neighbor across the street said my house "looms" over her house. She has a small ranch. I have a split level but my side of the street is on a hill making my house look really much bigger than it is.
1/2 acre on one side (but it's open lawn - we put some thick trees along our property line). There's a house 30ft behind us and 30ft on the other side of our garage. Then "the" neighbors across the street (60ft or so)
I think it's less than 10 feet. I can see into my neighbors house all the time when I am in the kitchen. I keep blinds closed on the windowd on the side of the house and have textured window in the bathroom where they could see in.
We live on acre lots in our community, but b/c we're in a cul-de-sac, our neighbors are closer than you'd think. And, it's all due to house positioning, too. Our neighbor to the right is probably 75 feet away, while the one on the left is about 200 feet from us.
I'm not good at guess feet...but I don't know-- maybe like 25 feet on one side and 50-60 on the other?
We never hear our neighbors ever...unless we are both out in our front yards talking or something... but someone told us that the one neighbor (in the back....who is the farthest away) can hear us fight sometimes. Which is just a bunch of B.S. b/c they dont' like us..and believe me; the feeling is beyond mutual! LOL
On the side with the neighbors we like...probably 30 feet or so. They don't have any windows on that side of their house, though. On the side with the neighbors we don't like, more like 100 feet. Thank goodness.
When we lived 'in town', our houses were very close.
8 feet! We are stacked on top of each other! Thankfully we only have neighbors on one side. But I actually really like it...DH works nights so it is nice having people so close.
Width of a driveway (one car) plus a couple feet on one side & it's commercial in back (we have an alley too) & the other side so more...like 40? I live in the city.

50 on one side (it is the side with our garage door...so no windows) and 60-70 on the other side (we have no windows on that side of our house since they are bedrooms and we only have one window in each). Behind us is an orchard and pasture...so acres and acres. We live on 1.5 acres.
While growing up we had about 1/2 mile on one side and 1/4 mile on the other. We had about 5 miles behind us to the next house. We all had acreage. My parents had 20 acres but we were surrounded by huge farms (300-600 acres at least).
