My chunky little 4.5 month old loves to ride around facing out in the Bjorn but it's getting tough on my back and shoulders. I have a Moby that I use at home that is a little better, but it's a pain to take out running errands, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations for a carrier that is more comfortable than the Bjorn, less work to get on than the Moby, and the baby can still face out? He likes facing in when he's sleepy, but if he's awake he wants to see the world!

Re: ergonomically correct forward-facing carrier?
We have a mei-tai that you can cinch in front to permit a forward carry:

(We have the mei tai, not the pikkolo which is more structured, but I think that works the same way).
You have a few different choices. The first would be to get a ring sling (Sakura Bloom Shown) and wear him Kangaroo style like this:
And then if he got tired you could wear him like this:
Your other choice would be a Mei Tai style carrier like a Baby Hawk, but in order to have him face out you'd have to wear him high on your back- not quite as easy to accomplish as the ring sling right away.
I have both and love them for different reasons.
