Thought we had our name decided- need opinion...

We've had our names decided for months now, but I admit to sometimes waivering on the boy name a tad.  I've been thinking about this new option for a few days- please tell me if it is completely horrible:

Originally: James Tomasz (Tomasz is set, for family- James would be James- NOT Jim, at home, at least)

New possible: Jameson Tomasz

Opinions?  By the way, I'd previously banned any name ending in "son" so you know I must seriously like this one.

    I much prefer James to Jameson.  Jameson makes me think of whiskey and sounds trendy to me.   James is a classic name that you can never go wrong with, IMO.   

    I won't say that Jameson is completely horrible, you could do much worse.  But James is so much better.

    I like James better than Jameson as well. Its NMS and I dont like the look of it.

    Tomasz was the name of a boy in my class!

    Well, we just out Jameson on our name list today, so I like Jameson better than just James.  However my first thought was whiskey too and like Rose said sounds kind of trendy.  But I still like it!

    I completely agree. James will not sound dated, but all these "son" names honestly make me cringe a little. Unless it's a family name, it seems very random to me. I just don't see the appeal.

    I knew a boy in school with me named Jameson. I too generally would rule out -son names, but this one isn't that bad. I can't decide which one I like better... a lot of help I am!

    If he is the son of James then go with Jameson. Although, if you did name him Jameson then he would probably be called James and not Jim.
