oparcm

Thank you for answering me.  If you don't mind, what were your pneumonia sypmtoms?  I am now doubting that I just have brochitis....

Re: oparcm

  • Ok I was fine at work last April. By the night time, I had a 104 fever, chills, sweating profusely and a really bad cough (I usually get bronchitis after a cold but I didn't have a cold and felt fine a few hours before).  I had this for the weekend and went to see GP on the Monday.  She sent me for the xray and it was pneumonia.  I thought I had the flu.  This was a few days before the whole swine thing broke.  She said the flu wasn't out and I had gotten the shot.  I'm still not convinced I actually didn't have swine b efore they knew about it.  Anyway, from April -June, I just looked awful and was really sick.  5 rounds of antibiotics and not better.  Then one night IN JUNE I just couldn't breathe, started wheezing and feeling like I was going to pass out.  Ambulance ride later I was at the ER.  They gave me a nebulizer and kept me over for observation.  At discharge I got Quvar and Albuterol to take home.   But it did make me jittery.   The pnemonia was brutal on me but my co worker and I were both sick from April through June and we swear we had undiagnosed swine.  Hope you feel better soon.  Oh, I should add that this year I got the seasonal flu shot and the pneumonia shot.  I don't want pneumonia again.
  • Thank you!  I went to the minute clinic yesterday but I feel a million times worse now.  She didn't even give me an antibiotic....just the Albuterol.  I have a fever, wheezing, and coughing constantly.  I feel horrible!  Thanks again for the info!

  • Yeah, those were my symptoms.  I would go back because if you have pneumonia and aren't on antibiotics, you can go from bad to worse very quickly.  It really takes its toll on you.  Hope you do get to the bottom of it and start feeling better.
