It looks made up regardless of where you found it. Baby name books have really random names in there that can look made up.

    actually, i dislike both names.

    now, audrey...that's a great name!

  • Love, love, love Elizabeth!  It's classic, versatile, and feminine.
  • DH likes Aubrey and I like Audrey...

    We are trying to compromise...

I don't want something common and I feel like I see the above two alot...

  • I may be the minority but I really like it!!  I like that it is unique... I might even steal it from you... you ladies give me such cool name ideas.  Thanks all!! Big Smile
  • Makes me think of Auburn University...and I'm an Alabama fan, so automatically I dislike it! Nothing personal :)

  • Aubryn sounds like Auburn to me. ?Sorry.

I really like Aubrey, Audrey and Brynn. ?And Elizabeth.?

    ?

  • I kinda like it...
  • I'm generally not fond of names with random Y's in the middle, so I can't say I like it.  I also saw 'Auburn' at first glance.

  • Aubryn is darling!  I love unique names.  As long as the name doesn't have an atrocious spelling, I generally support interesting names.  I think it's great!

And really ladies, it "sounds/looks like another word"?!  In my opinion, that is a terrible excuse that I see on this board all the time.  Pretty much any name "sounds/looks" like another.  That's like saying Claire reminds me of Claritin or Ella makes me think of Elephant.

There isn't really a "terrible excuse" not to like a name. If not for some people's distaste everyone would be named the same thing. The OP asked for opinions, and she's getting them.
