Kamden turns 1 Monday, Feb. 1st. We're having the "kids" party on Sunday, January 31st (Don't worry, Super Bowl is the following Sunday....we checked 1st!). We chose a Sunday, thinking it might be easier for people to attend than a Monday (and Saturday is out, because of our restaurant friends).
Anyway, we just put the deposit down at "My Gym". They have 3 different time slots. 11-12:30, 1-3:00 or 3:30-5. We blocked the middle time slot, but right now, all 3 are still available. I'm thinking 11am may be better for going around nap times etc? (I already know my BFF's kids nap at 2....) And, we didn't want to interfere with those who attend church? We'd like to have people actually show up for his bday....and My Gym is a TON of fun for the kiddos.
What's your opinion?
Re: Need advice regarding the time of day to have DS's bday party...
I would say 3:30-5:00. That would be out of most kids naptime??? Most of kiddos T's age nap around 12-1 ish?
ETA - 11-12:30 would probably be ok too, any that nap early could probably make it to 12:30
I'm probably the odd one out. A almost always naps between 10:30 and 1.
I think the middle slot would be easiest, but my kiddo doesn't have a consistent nap schedule yet. If she did nap during that time, the later one would probably be better. Have fun planning!
Ok....we're most likely not going to use the middle slot.
Next thought that occurred to me.....if we pick the earlier one, then people have the rest of the day to do whatever they want, as opposed to the 3:30 slot, which is right smack dab in the middle. Would that make a difference to you? (It doesn't to me, but I don't really do anything on Sundays execpt hang with K anyway.)
That's what we do, but I didn't want to make assumptions about others....lol.
hummm...I was going to agree and say the later one bc of less chance of naps and it's not and "eating time" so you can just do cake/snacks and not worry about people's lunch or dinner. But you have a great point with it being in the middle of the day and planning things around it. So I'm not much help bc I'm gonna say early or later, I think either one would be good.
BTW, you're so on the ball! I have nothing for C's bday planned yet (I could be in denial that she's 1 already)! But we'll be home for the holidays and we're having her party there, so I'm not sure what I'll do for planning yet.
