let's hear 'em! i've never heard of a female named perry (though other than perry mason, i've never heard of a male perry either).
my husband is not sold on any name yet, but we have lots of time to choose. opinions from perfect strangers are exactly what i need to get a diverse perspective on this!
Re: thoughts on perry (girl)
A friend's sister is named Peri - it's short for Perigren. (Not totally sure of the spelling).
peregrine..... like the falcon?
i loathe the spelling peri... it just begs for someone to finish it... "winkle", "natal", "odontal" etc.
i figure, if i was going to name my kid something a bit odd, i'd rather do a spelling that is a bit more traditional and not so much a prefix.
i'm open to more opinions! i have a thick skin when it comes to stuff like this.
There are names a lot worse than Perry, but to me it's dated, as in all of the Barry/Jerry/Kerry/Terry names of the '60s and '70s.
I think a more modern twist would be Poppy or Penny or Maren?
I agree
I double agree
