How do you pretend to be happy for someone when you're not?

I've actually told her I'm not happy about it b/c I find it hypocritical and she said she understands and doesn't blame me. I'm trying to listen and be supportive but I just don't feel it. I can't say who it is or it would make perfect sense and not just like I'm some raging b*tch. (it will make sense to anyone who asked for a PM the other night). I keep telling myself all babies are blessings and hoping the excited & happy part kicks in soon.

That is such a hard situation.   Be happy about the baby and mad about her!  I don't know if that is possible!  GL!

You are making me more and more curious. Since I don't know the details all I can say is I think that you just have to look at your issues with the person and the baby as two separate things. Thats what I had to do when my sister got pregnant. We had some issues between us (her being a hypocrite was one) and I just had to remind myself that the baby/pregnancy was no reflection of how we felt about each other. PM if you want to share more details.

Well if you've already told her you're not happy, you don't have to pretend to be happy.  With that though, I'm not sure who you're talking about and how they treated you.
