My dr advocated both taking a bath and having sex, even before I thought to ask. The only thing about baths is eventually a lot of you is no longer in the water!
What!!! I could not survive without my baths. I have a jacuzzi tub, so I sit up more than in a regular tub. I try not to fill it up so much so most of my belly stays out of the water. And I don't stay in as long as I would when I'm not pregnant, but I let my body tell me. I'll start feeling a tad quesy after 10-15 mins so I get out then. I don't have control over the water temp in that tub but once I checked it once with my meat thermometer and it was right around 100F which is what you really want to stay under.
As for the sex, unless they tell you down the line that there's a specific reason you can't have sex, like Placenta Previa, then go for it.

I take baths all the time. Its the only way i can safely shave my legs. I have almost fallen out the shower too many times to risk it now! As long as its not too hot, i was unaware there was a problem.

Ditto TalulaSue's post--my peri said "be very cautious" for sex (I had spotting at 13 wks due to irritated cervix) and said be aware of too hot temps (he was referring more to saunas/ hot tubs, etc.).
I've only taken a few baths since being PG (where I was living in the city, all we had was a shower!) but baths were relaxing whenever I did get to indulge. Careful about balance issues as you get bigger and bigger--it's surprising how much coordination gets thrown to the wind once the bump starts taking over!
Re: Q about taking about a bath while preg.

How come you can't take baths??? My doc never restricted baths. I took one this week in my jetted tub and it was heavenly. <sigh>
