I'm feeling fine -- thank you so much for asking! I don't have any cramping or spotting.... yet.... but you said you cramped the next day, so I may not feel them until later....
I am kinda working from home, kinda taking the day off, just taking it easy. How soon did you get your results? Our dr said it will be 10-14 days, depending on how fast the cells divide.
I'll post a more detailed description of the procedure, in case anyone is interested.
Yep, going to stay at home! That is why I can bump so much today!
DH didn't take the day off to wait on me hand and foot though, like your DH did with you. You are lucky. I think the CVS procedure really freaked him out -- he couldn't wait to get out there and go to his office/cocoon!
I am actually a little ambivalent about knowing the gender right now, through chromosomes. DH really wants to know now though. I kinda like the idea of not knowing until we see a pee-pee or wee-wee on the U/S. But, since DH is itching to know (he even said that he can find out and keep it a secret from me -- yeah, right, like that's going to work!). Finding out the gender never crossed our minds when we decided to do CVS. We just wanted to make sure our baby does not have chromosomal issues, since I have a family history of it. But, DH asked the genetic counselor if they can tell the gender from the CVS, she said "yes!" and now DH is really looking forward to finding out.

BTW, your daughter is gorgeous!
I got my Fisch results within 48 hours..(initial results and are like 80-90% accurate) the official results were 10 days. I had it done on a Weds and they sent it to a lab in Florida and called me with it by Friday afternoon.. Was kind of funny b/c at first I wasn't sure I wanted to know the sex of the baby and was home alone when they called with the results.. so I waited the weekend with my hubby to discuss the pros/cons of knowing and then just knowing our baby's gender was on a piece of paper in a file somewhere made me want to know even more! Like the Christmas presents under the tree ready to be opened!!!
We're glad we know it is a girl.. it helps to fantasize about her even more.
Anyway.. I took 3 days to stay home.. I stayed home that Weds, Thurs and Friday.. and RESTED.. even that Saturday I took it easy..
Good luck!

I had pretty bad cramping right after, which made both of us really nervous, plus it just wouldn't make sense for DH to take half a day since he has a decent commute and the ferry schedule isn't conducive to taking 1/2 days. the ferry runs far less frequently after "peak" hours.
I wanted to know the gender...in fact, it didn't even cross my mind to have them not tell me that after I knew the "important" stuff was ok.
