Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Anyone have little to no bleeding after D&C?

I have had like none!  Seriously I dont even need to wear a pad.  But Im afraid if I dont its gonna come pouring out when I least expect it.....

My last D&C I had way more bleeding than this...  I did start to naturally m/c but only lost two clots and very little blood with that, less than a pantyliner needed...  Im just wondering if I am the only one..

Re: Anyone have little to no bleeding after D&C?

  • I didnt have any bleeding right after my d&c last year, but a couple weeks later, I had spotting that lasted for a week.  Hopefully you dont have to deal with anymore bleeding!

  • sorry to say it, but i remember posting this very question after my d&c... for the first few days, i had nothing. a couple of days later i noticed i would bleed one day, stop the next, then bleed, then stop, so on and so forth... and then i started passing clots about a week later.

i hope this is it for you, but if you do start bleeding, that's normal too. i am praying for a speedy recovery... *hugs*

  • hi, i had my D&C last Tuesday and have had barely any spotting since.  maybe a little smudge here and there, but not much more.  i have my follow up tomorrow, and i plan to ask my dr. about this.

  • I had no bleeding at all after my D&C.  I had a couple little (I mean little) spots here and there for the first day or two, and then nothing.  I mentioned the lack of bleeding to my dr at my follow up and he didn't seem to be concerned. I"m 6 weeks post-D&C and still waiting for AF to show up.

  • I had mine yesterday, and I haven't had any bleeding since immediately after the procedure.  And I feel great.  I'm amazed.

  • I've had very little bleeding.  Just a spot here and there.

  • I don't know if it has to do with how far long you were but with my 1st 2 D & E's I only had the day of surgery spotting red. This last one at 12 1/2 weeks was a lot worse. I bled the day of surgery and 2-3 days later then spotted for 1 1/2 weeks.
  • I had very light spotting the first 3 days and then te 4th day is when it got heavier, which lasted until about the 6th day. Then I went back to spotting.

    Hope your's stays light!

  • Take a look at my chart.  I only marked light on the first day so that FF would start a new cycle for me, because on the day of the D&E I didn't really bleed at all.  Then I spotted, then I had really light flow and now I don't have anything.  I posted the same question after my D&E and someone replied saying that she thought she wasn't having any bleeding, but then like 4-5 days after, she started getting more bleeding.  It seems that there is a very large range of normal, and every pregnancy is different, so I'm sure that you are fine.

  • Had D&C a little over 3 weeks ago and no bleeding at all.  OB told my husband that there was very little bleeding during the procedure too.  I had a follow-up exam and blood levels drawn on Tuesday but not sure of my numbers-just told they were dropping.  When I asked OB about no bleeding and very little cramping, she said that was okay and that each person/miscarriage is different.  It was nice to not have to wear pads, yet I was constantly worrying that I would start bleeding any day.
