Anyone else's office doing a pool for guessing baby birthday, weight, anything? They want to do one and was trying to think of the best way to do it. Any ideas?

My work hasn't done this, but when my friend was pg, she did one with her family. They did a separate pool for each thing (birthday, weight, gender) and each guess was $1. The winner of each pool took the whole pot, so they didn't have to deal with percentages and stuff. If there was a tie, the winners would split. The only thing I didn't like was that if no one won, my friend took the money for that pool for "the baby's college fund." I would have just given it to whomever was closest.
Mine did! They were texting me during the whole delviery wanting to know what was happening. Im not sure how they did it...they just did time when they knew I was going to deliver and weight.
My office does squares every time there's a baby due.
You pick a 2-3 week segment around the due date. Depending on the # of people, you can separate days into before noon/after noon. Then, people put down $1 to "own" a square. Some people buy multiple squares!
The winner gets half of the winnings, the other half goes to the baby's parents.
It's always a lot of fun and gets the whole office "involved." Plus, it's totally voluntary and not weird if someone doesn't join in.
