Trying to Get Pregnant

Experienced charters...advice please

DH and I have been charting to TTA for over 3 years now and this is my first cycle TTC.  My aunt passed away last week and her viewing and her funeral was yesterday, so of course there was a lot of crying throughout the entire day but especially at night.  This morning my temp was higher than usual for this point in my cycle and I am not sure of whether or not being so upset yesterday could have an impact on it.  Could this be why it was higher than usual?  What is the best way to record everything that has taken place over the past 2 days?  Should I just check high stress, write a note, both?  I want to keep my chart as accurate as possible.  TIA!

Re: Experienced charters...advice please

  • Hello! I'm sorry for your recent loss and stress.

Yes, I would check stress and indicate it in the notes. While FF cannot take notes into consideration for confirming O, it helps you keep track when reviewing your chart. Regardless, you won't know the higher temp today is from that or you may have Oed... just will take a few days to tell.

Our bodies are so interesting, and we measure the BBT to the hundreth degree so we're reocgnizing tiny changes in our body (and therefore temp) that may not be noticed otherwise. So it could be a factor of being upset, or just your usual cycle.

You're smart to document it, and just try to be patiuent to see what happens.

    Rest up, and good luck

  • Sorry for your loss.

I'm not sure about how emotions can impact temps, but i wouldn't worry about it too much. ?One temp shouldn't throw all your temps off. ?I would give it a few more days and see what happens.

It would be ok to check high stress and write a note, that way if you check back you'll know that things were wonky that day. ?GL!?
