We are packing too. If you go to Home Depot or Lowes first thing in the morning (like when they open) you can usually get some of their boxes from their products before they are crushed. Also, McDonald's recycle bin is filled with boxes you can take for free. (We did this when we moved from Tulsa to here).

i did notice a sign at whole foods a week or so ago that said they had boxes available for the asking. it looked like a semi-permanent sign, not just a temp thing. liquor stores often have boxes too. GL!
I always go to Best Buy and ask them if I can have any extra boxes. They have a ton and have even let me go in the back with them to pick out the sizes I want.
I have a garage full of boxes that we would be happy to unload (including several wardrobe boxes). However, my garage is in Denton, so that may not be very convenient for you. If you're interested, let me know. I love the idea of actually being able to get a car in my garage one day!
