Tag or Tag Jr?

DD loves reading books in her room at night and I know would love this, but I am torn between a Tag and Tag Jr. She is 3 and I am worried the Jr will be too young, but will the Tag be too old? Any experiences?

I've been thinking about the tag system also, but the books are pricey and I'm wondering if it will hold my 4.5 yo's interest.
