GIRL!!!
We think.. Had the big u/s and amnio yesterday, and the kid was very reluctant to show her stuff. She gave us a quick peek, and the tech said girl. I've been thinking girl myself.. Anyway, We're thrilled - well, we would have been thrilled no matter what, but this way we get one of each.
I guess we find out for sure in 2 weeks. We did not get the option of FISH results. At the perinatal center here, they only do them if there is an indication of a potential problem. I'm not worried - baby girl looked great on the u/s, no soft markers, and all seems well.
Now to sort out what we're going to call our little girl.. We have a name already, but dh and I cannot agree on a NN (and we need a NN because my mom, my good friend, and half of my neighborhood go by Elizabeth..)
I want Libby, dh wants (wait for it...) ..Bitsy. No Way. What's you're favorite NN for Elizabeth?
Re: It's a...
Congratulations! Welcome to Team Pink! Prepare to sink all ofyourmoney into adorable little pink outfits.
I like Eliza- it sounds so Jane Austen.
Congrats on your baby girl!!
I like Eliza too. Or what about Lizzy?
Congratulations on your sweet baby girl!
My mom's name is Elizabeth, as was my grandmother's. It'll be our girl's middle name, just as it's my middle name. I loooove it.
Let's see... My mom's NN was Bibsy, now grandchildren-alized to "Bupp." My grandmother was Libby. I always loved the straight simplicity of "Beth."
congratulations!
i like liz for NN for elizabeth. my bff from college went by liz.
My Blog

I am an Elizabeth and I go by Liz, but went by Lizzie as a kid and I wish I still went by that...I think its so cute. My goddaughter is also a Lizzie and it suits her...
But you could also go by Betsy, Beth, Liza, Eliza, Elsie,
I would say Libby is my least favorite though...Sorry!
I like Libby, actually. And another nn option is Bess, though with Bessie and cows that may not work.
And if you name her Elisabeth, you could call her Elisa or Lis.
