My best friend growing up was named Eliza. I had known her for prob 7 years before I even knew he name had an 'E'. We always called her Liza (Liza Lot, hehe). After that and into adulthood we used both pronunciations, but probably mostly uh-Liza.

and what is the only pronunciation? everyone i've ever met says ee-LIE-zuh. like liza with ee at the front.
eh-LIE-zuh. Which I guess is the same as eh-LIZE-uh. For me the "eh" and "uh" are fairly similar.
I would never say eeee (long-e)-LIE-zuh.
