ovulation during the flu!?

I am so mad! I've been waiting for what seems like forever to ovulate (I'm still nursing and just got my first pp period after 9months).  I got the flu last night and a positive opk this afternoon!  DH won't touch me because he doesn't want to get sick! Which I can understand, but what bad timing! We had sex yesterday, if I ovulate tomorrow, is there a chance even? Grrr.

Sperm can live 3 days and people have gotten pregnant with 4 days before O too.

The reading I've done says that sperm can survive for days waiting for an egg, so there's a possibility. 

 Tell DH you'll wear a mask! That'll be sexy. LOL

A girlfriend of mine got preg right before she was diagnosed with swine flu. She knew she was going to O and was hell bent (trying for over a year). BFP for her.

Yeah, the post was more of a vent than anything. I'm disappointed because seems like my chances are increased if you have sex more than just once.  Plus, my monitor didn't give me a peak this morning, so I might not O until day after tomorrow, then the chances go down. 

I told him I'd wear a mask, but no dice.

My BFP cycle I had the flu during Ovulation. My DH wanted a baby worse than he cared about catching the flu so we made sure to keep going around my O time. GL to you.

Ditto what everyone else has already said...you definitely still have a chance, but the more sex the better! Tell DH to suck it up.

Yeah, I don't think it's the flu, just a nasty cold. But my temp was 100 yesterday afternoon.  Either way, DH works in the healthcare industry and can't really risk it.  I thought about the turkey baster, for like .5 seconds. LOL.
