Thoughts on Blazer games

So, last year DH and I got season tickets. I missed soooo many games due to the pregnancy (I found out like four days after the reg season started and was preggo through the entire season!) This year he kept his seat and his dad bought mine and the one next to it and I'll get to go to some games. My question is, when do you think it's okay to bring LO, in your opinion, to the games? Wait til the next season? This season but later? I have 4th row from the court for the pre-season game @ Mem Col in a couple weeks and I won't bring her there I don't think, but I just wanted to see what others thoughts were on how old a LO should be before going to the games. Be honest! Smile

  • You're fine to take her now, in my opinion!  B will be going to her first game on the 18th.  We also have season tix, and the woman in front of us was pregnant, then brought the baby, and now is pregnant again.  Just curious, why didn't you go when you were pregnant?  I went to a ton of games and didn't have any problems.

  • OMG! I've been trying to figure out where to get those things! Thank you!! haha.

I went to like MAYBE half the season. I spent the first couple months feeling incredibly sick at night (I had night sickness lol) and really tired. Going to work all day then not getting home til sometimes 11:30pm and getting back up at 6:30am was not good for me. Then towards the end of the season I was getting really swollen and couldn't walk much and yea...it was just a big mess. I was sad. I want to go to all the games this season too, I'm so sad I'm not able to...we wanted to save some money since I'm not working so just DH and his dad and whoever are going to be going. Next season I'm getting my ticket back though!

Where do you sit?? We should meet up one of the times I'm there. I for sure get to go to a Laker game as that was part of the deal. I will not miss those. They're my fave team to watch us beat! HAHA

  • I hear ya on the being tired, it SUCKED.  Alot of the time, I wouldn't even get up and walk at all, I would just stay camped out in my seat all game!  In addition to DH's tickets, my company has a box suite, so I *had* to go to a bunch of games with my coworkers.  I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty awesome.  I already have my "work games" lined up on my calendar, so it should be a full season again this year.  At least this year I can drink again!  Woot Drinks

We are right next to entrance A26, we sit behind the Blazer bench, on the corner.  I would love to meet up!!

  • LUCKY! I sat in the suite for the Taylor Swift concert that I took my sister to. Those seats are NICE. We're all the way up in 300 level, but only 4 rows up. Section 310. Anyway, thanks again for the link to the headphones, I'm going to buy them and hopefully they'll be here in time for the first game I go to. I'll let you know when that is, besides the pre-season one. :)

  • We have the headphones and season tickets.  Our daughter is almost 17months and I think this year will be harder then last due to the fact she can walk now.  Last year was EASY.  We just had her in the front pack and put the headphones on and she was in awe of all the action.  They never check diaper bags so we just brought lots for her to "play"/chew on and she was good.  When ever she got fussy we just took her out and passed her between the two of us.  There were even some games that I was working and my husband took her on his own...BRAVE man! :)
  • Wow that is brave!! haha...Thank you so much. I've been really nervous about it. DH went tonight and I was going to go but my FIL has been nursing a cold/flu and I don't want to be near him with her or without her as neither of us need to get sick. Hopefully DH doesn't. I'll make him sleep in the other room if he does. hehe

  • Hi!  I'm new to the Oregon board and am expecting my first baby 11/27.  DH and I also have season tickets (Sec. 307) and we were just talking about this the other day!  We're splitting the season with 2 other couples this year to earn some extra money and most of the games we'll be going to are after January when our little guy will be a few months old.  I'm totally fine giving up my ticket for a friend to go with my husband, but if I WANT to go, is 2 months old too little to be at a game?  I have seen lots of newborns at games, but can't decide if that's something I'd want to do.  I guess we'll see when he's here!  If he's an easy baby maybe it wouldn't be a problem but if he's fussy and cries a lot... Oh boy.

  • Hi, welcome!  I personally think that it's great to take kids/babies out and about, because they get used to different situations.  With that said, the Rose Garden can get very LOUD.  Especially during playoffs.  We went to a game at the end of the season last year and were debating taking DD, who was about 3 weeks old, and I'm SO glad we didn't take her, it would have been way too loud for her.  I probably wouldn't take a baby younger than about 3-4 months, personally.
