Pull string pinata...

Does anyone know if these things really work?

DD is going to be 3 and I think it would be fun but I don't know if the strings just break off or if they really work... and I don't want to waste $$$ on one to find out... thanks!

Re: Pull string pinata...

  • Yes they do.  We used one when Carter turned 2 and Mommynow had one at her DD's 4th birthday party.  Only 1 string opens the pinata, so everyone (at least in our cases) got a few turns before the 1 string was found.  You can also hit them the "old fashioned way" if you don't want to pull the strings.

  • All of the strings but one or two just break off, but that is the whole idea. The kid that pulls the string that doesn't break, opens the pinata up. We have had one for Preston's last 2 birthdays. Not this birthday though, since we don't have many kids coming.
  • They work.  We've used them for each of Ryan's bdays.
  • The lady at the party store seemed unimpressed with them so she sorta scared me off. I think we're going to try it because it sounds fun. Thanks ladies! I appreciate it!

  • Britt had one for her 8th birthday party 10 yrs ago.  It was a HUGE hit but it was over with it very quickly.  I find those to be better for smaller kids whose attention span sucks lol
