Hi all! I have been on theknot.com because I am getting married October 17th, but due to the SUPRISE this weekend (pregnant!) I am now on here, too.
I am 38 years old and have two boys that are 9 and almost 13. I had two miscarriages before them, and had to take Clomid to get pregnant with them because they said I only ovulated maybe 3 times a year. So here I am, preparing to get married for the second time (my 1st dies suddenly at the age of 39 four years ago). I am on BC pills and decide that I don't want to have the "visitor" on our honeymoon, so I decided to just quit taking them for a couple of weeks to throw my cycle off. I would not have thought in a MILLION years that I would get pregnant, bot God had other plans. I am excited... he is still kinda in shcol... he is 49 and has a son 29, daughter 23 and two grands, 3 and 2.
So, here is my question. I am about 6 weeks along. I haven't been prego in so long, I don't remember... is it common to have light pinkish brown discharge in the beginning? I have it a little yesterday after we had intercourse, but then a little again this morning. With my past history, I called my Dr and they sent me for progesterone and HCG level blood tests today, then I go agains Wed for HCG test. Am I freaking for no reason? Anyone else have this?
Re: Hi all... new on here.
I had that off and on for the first couple of weeks I knew I was pregnant. It was very light, and would only show up every 2 -3 days. As for the intercourse, I had the same thing.. and the doc said that was probably just from the cervix getting irritated. If you are worried at all, it can't hurt to ask your Doc. Good luck!
Hi and welcome to the board. I had that kind of spotting and my dr said it was normal. Be sure and let your dr know just in case.
Good luck!
Congratulations and welcome!! Yes, spotting is normal early on - I had implantation bleeding, but also had slight spotting throughout first tri. Drove me crazy and scared me to death, but as others have said it was not abnormal.
Happy and healthy nine months to you!
Hi, and welcome! What a great story! H&H 9 months to you!
I understand that some spotting during PG is perfectly normal.
