Multiples

Strollers...

Hello ladies,
I am not a momma of multiples in one shot, but I am on my 3rd! I am looking into strollers and I found a Graco that I liked, and my SIL said that she hated her Graco, that it was too heavy. Now she swears by a Combi?? I have never heard of one, have you?

If not, can you recommend yours.
TIA

Re: Strollers...

  • Hello :-)  I have the Graco Duo Glider and while it IS heavy (almost 50lbs) and bulky, it's also very heavy duty and has a lot of storage capability for shopping trips.  It's super easy to fold, which is another plus.

I will be getting a Combi side-by-side stroller next week (because that's when my coupon is good!!) from BRU.  I tested it out and it's extremely light and folds up very easily and it's also compact, which is what I'm looking for.  I also like that both seats can be fully reclined whereas the Graco can't (only the back seat fully reclines).

  • I have the Kolcraft Contours and plan to get the city mini jogger as well. ?If I can find a used BOB double I will also get one of those.?
  • I would go to BRU and test-drive them yourself. Their double stroller selection is limited, but I know the one by us had the Graco Duoglider and Quattro (both tandems) and the Graco Ipo (side-by-side) in stock along with the Chicco Trevi Twin and Combi Twin Sport. Personally, we have the City Mini double and love it. But if our LOs were singletons of different ages, we probably would have done with a cheaper stroller (since you don't need it for as long) and gotten probably the Combi or maybe the Graco Ipo twin.

  • Thank YOU!

The only real concern that I had was that I wanted the new baby to be in the carseat, and not bopping around in the stroller. So that makes me think that the Combi isn't the best option. I have a Graco stroller Combo now, and I think that the car seat will fit on the Graco Duo.
