How do you freeze your papaya?

Wholesomebabyfood says that it can become watery and gritty if freezed in pureed form. So I am wondering if that is true and how else should I freeze it? Sliced? Chunked?

I use a potato peeler to peel the fruit. Then use a knife to slice it into tiny bits. Then put them in an ice cube tray and freeze into portions. once frozen, I transfer the 'cubes' to a ziploc freezer bag.
