Announcing pregnancy via text message...

I just got this in my inbox from a good friend: "I'm pregnant and it was a pure accident."

Is it just me or is that a little odd?

I vote odd.  Maybe if she said a tad different?  Like "I'm pregnant! and we are so surprised!"

I vote odd too.  I know some people are more low-key but that seems a little odd to me.

It was more the text message thing. I'm sure she's freaked out and still working on the happy part. She has a 2 yo with her FI and he's kind of useless. She's put off the wedding until he starts being a better partner/parent to their son, so I hope this doesn't just make things harder on her.

Yeah, I'm also going with odd.  Even if it's a surprise, I think it at least deserves a call.  Not a text.
