I was way more than 20 pounds overweight pre-pg so I didn't start showing until about 20 weeks when it became increasingly difficult to suck it in and the top belly got harder and more ball like. : ) Everyone is different though as i have a friend who is 10 weeks ahead of me and while she wasn't quite as heavy as I was pre-pg, she had plenty of meat, and is smaller than I am currently!
I am only 10 weeks, and I am starting to show. I think it's all bloat, not baby, since my baby is only the size of an olive! I am a size 4 pre-PG, so maybe smaller girls show bloating earlier? My OB told me on Tues that I have a large uterus, which is normal, but that might also explain my huge belly. I have had to wear larger pants or my bella band since week 8-9. Argh. DH and I can definitely tell, and I think my co-workers are starting to get suspicious.....
thanks ladies! i don't mind not showing but i was getting a bit worried!
Honey, I would love to not be showing! You are very lucky! We are planning to tell ppl at the end of the 1st tri, no sooner, but with this belly, it is getting harder and harder to hide my PG! I basically have had to isolate myself from family and friends. My co-workers are all suspicious and staring at my belly. I actually ordered some full panel jeans from Old Navy -- and, OMG, they fit! The full panel felt great, and my belly filled it up nicely.
I have a very thin frame (5'8", 115 lbs) and at 9 weeks (and in tight clothing) my bump is pretty obvious. I've been having to wear inconspicuous, somewhat baggy clothing since I haven't been able to tell friends and co-workers yet.
I was VERY slow to show. Really just in the last week-10 days. Only now (about 23 weeks) is it finally becoming obvious to strangers. I'm petite with an athletic build so I think that is why it was slow to pop.
I still haven't started to show at all. My clothes all still fit. DH and I can tell when I am naked but that is about it. I was a normal size to begin with and in pretty good shape, so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
With my first, I did not go into maternity clothes until about 18 weeks....Do not be concerned!!!......I have friends that started out overweight and did not gain as much weight overall and did not show until later....
Re: when did you start showing?
Showing enough that DH and I could tell- maybe 13-14 weeks.
Enough that people who knew I was pg could tell- probably 17 weeks
Enough that strangers could tell- I got my first stranger comment at 22 weeks.

I think around 16/17 weeks. I had my 1st stranger comment at 25 weeks. Now there is no denying it! LOL
I was about 15 lbs over where I should be when I got pg although I am an hourglass shape and have always had a small waist....
Anyway...now I just have no waist and huge butt & thighs...I am miserable!
So don't worry...yours will come...but truly everyone is just different.
