i read to her a lot. i sing to her. i walk her around the house and explain everything to her. if we're watching tv, i talk to her about what's happening on the screen. sometimes i just let her lay and look around.
i am very lucky, though, that she makes hardly any demands as far as being held, walked, laid down, etc.
I went to an infant massage class yesterday so I am going to add some massage into our afternoon wakeful time. Otherwise we go for a long walk, or go shopping in the afternoon and I walk around the house and let him look at things, and I give him some time in his crib to kick his legs and look at his mobile. He hates tummy time but we try that for about 5 min. at a time.
I sing to her, she likes to play on her activity mat, we go for walks, and she is fascinated with watching the dog and her mobile. She is very social, so we make faces at her and coo to her and she tries to mimic our faces or smiles at our noises.
Re: 2 month old activities.....
I basically just sing to him and talk to him and we have tummy time.
she's almost two months, so i'll answer.

go for walks, he likes his activity mat he will look around and kick his legs, tummy time, or I will just hold him and let him lounge
sing, talk, read books. Not a lot you can do at that age!
